London Olympic Highlights 2012

Well as you should know about Valerie Adams
at the summer Olympic Games he had to verse

Nedzaya Ostapchuk in the shot put competition.
As Valerie threw the shot put ball she was like a
canon shooting out it's ball. The challenge was
like a lion jumping out from behind a shiny grey
rock. Something you should know is that
Nedzaya Ostapchuk had taken drugs and
was found positive. When she went to the
starting line to get ready to throw her ball,
she looked hot and bothered, she threw the ball
and it went very far, she had beaten Valerie.
When she got the gold she had taken off.
She has hidden and ran off with Valerie's
gold medal.

About the New Zealander winner, Joseph
Sullivan and Nathan Cohen. They arrived
in London to be in the London Olympic
games for rowing. Joseph and Nathan
won a gold medal for New Zealand
for rowing. They were like a lightning,
speeding to the finish line.

A Trip To Kowhai Intermediate

Guess what. On Thursday 23 of August, room 10 was welcomed from Kowhai Intermediate.
As we were on the bus, we were driving through fog. As we arrived, we all waited a little while
and then we got called by a kaikaranga. As we entered the hall, Kowhai Intermediate called us
in with a chant and a waiata. So we sat down and the first kaumatua spoke, Matua Jesse
Williams. The very first person to speak was Waimaria McMath and she spoke about,
"Te Tiriti O Waitangi". Before it was Nakita's turn, most of us, well some of us, were
so excited to go up on stage.Tuhoe Tamaiparea announced the next speaker, that was us,
and we walked so calmly on stage." Bing" the bell went for Nakita, so she could start her
speech. So on stage after Nakita finished her speech we did a chant called, Waikato te awe.
We were gonna sing "Ma the kahukura, but Pasadena Intermediate sang that song.
Tuhoe Tamaiparea introduced the first game which was, Fruit Salad. Kowhai Intermediate
had to say pineapples, R.P.S had to say apples and oranges and Sutton Park said grapes.
It was so funny that i couldn't catch up to everyone. Yesterday was an enjoyable and
fun day. Everyone had so much fun. Then we were called in for our prize givings. There
were eight prizes given to eight good speakers, Waimaria McMath, Kiritopa Ihaka Allen,
Raiti Aperahama, Kataraina Boaza, Nico Honetana,Kahurangi Heremia, Nakita Kopua
and last but not least, Mareikura Nathan from Kowhai Intermediate who talked about,
Na wai te wai. After all the prize givings Tuhoe Tamaiparea announced third, second
and third place. In third place waaaassss Nico Honetana from Finlayson Park, and second place was Kiritopa Ihaka Allen and in first place was Mareikura Nathan from Kowhai Intermediate. Well that was a hard decision to choose to be the winners from all of  the seven other schools, but Kowhai was proud we had a very fun day and it was very enjoyable too. By the way the last thing we did was He Honore.
